The invention

We changed the base. Everything follows.

Three generations of snack technology preceded this. First generation: direct expanded corn puffs. Second generation: half-products reconstituted from potato pellet. Third generation: co-extruded pellets, fortified post-process. All three share the same structural logic: the base is inert, and nutrition is applied from the outside. That was the accepted model for 60 years. Nobody changed it. VILUMA food did.

4th generation preventive nutrition is a different operating principle entirely. Instead of fortifying an inert carrier, it retains the native bioactive compounds already present in the base — intact polyphenols, native prebiotic fibre, and cellular protein architecture — through a process specifically configured to preserve them. Organic whole pulse carries 25–35% protein and 15–25% fibre natively. Our Hebenstreit single-screw extrusion preserves that integrity inside the product structure. The nutrition is not added. It is not claimed. It is structurally inside — and provable by batch record.

This aligns with the P4 model of medicine: Predictive, Preventive, Personalized, and Participatory. Problem 01
The base that never changed — 60 years of inert nutrition
Corn flour and potato pellet carry no protein, no fibre, no prebiotic activity. Any nutritional value on a product built from this base was applied from the outside. That is the architecture the global snack, baby food, and functional nutrition industry chose — and has defended, at enormous scale, for six decades. Nobody changed it. VILUMA food did.

There was no company operating GFSI-certified organic whole pulse extrusion at commercial scale, with own supply chain, own consumer brands, and a B2B engine supplying the same standard to the wider food industry. Baby nutrition, sports snacks, clinical food, and bulk ingredients — all from one platform, one process, one standard. That platform is VILUMA food. And it did not exist before us.

In the current food system, the producer decides what goes into the base, what process it passes through, and what accountability exists for the claim on the pack. The consumer has no way to verify any of it. VILUMA food takes that responsibility back. Own supply chain. Own process. Own batch record. The conventional food industry never configured single-screw extrusion for organic whole pulse at GFSI standard. We did. Screw geometry, pressure profile, and process parameters precisely calibrated to preserve the intact cellular matrix — 25–35% protein, 15–25% fibre — inside the product structure. 12–18 months of equipment lead time to replicate. That gap is the moat.
